08/2007 - The River of Dreams Book Cover Released
The cover for The River of Dreams has been finished! Many requests have been made about the cover of this book and just how it will reflect Barbara's message. To say the least, the cover does an excellent job of representing the mystical nature of The River of Dreams. Click Here to see!

07/2007 - Book Signings Announced
As the release of "River of Dreams" gets closer, interest in the book and Barbara is on the rise. Both Barnes and Noble and Borders books have asked Barbara to appear in-store for book signings. In addition, Amazon.com has agreed to carry the book for online ordering. Exact dates for the book signings will be posted as they are booked.

06/2007 - NEW Book in the Works
Barbara announced today plans to start on her second book tentatively titled "The Turquoise Leopard". All we can say at this time is that the book will be a fictional novel set in the Himalayas in both present and past times. No other details are available yet. Barbara's fans will just have to wait to see what unfolds.

06/2007 - The River of Dreams Goes to Print
The final touches have been made on the book and the manuscript is now off to the press. Release date is scheduled for mid August.

05/2007 - AuthorHouse to Publish River of Dreams
After a year long courtship, Barbara has signed with AuthorHouse publishing to handle printing and distribution of "River of Dreams". AuthorHouse is the world's largest self-publishing agencies in the world. They have published thousands of books covering all subjects with such noted authors as Charles Dey, James Lovejoy and Deborah Cronin.

03/2007 - River of Dreams Completed
Barbara Smith announces the completion of her first book, "River of Dreams". Written over the last two and half years, the book was a lifetime in creation. River of Dreams tells the story of Barbara's personal journey to living a life "extraordinary," and in the process, helps the reader uncover their own path to possibility.
